EU Innovation Fund
Nordic Innovators creates high impact and drives green energy transition through EU Innovation Fund projects. In April 2024, the 4th call of the EU Innovation Fund closed with a record budget of €4 billion to subsidies European decarbonisation projects. In addition, the first call of the Hydrogen Pilot Auction, under the Innovation Fund umbrella, was successfully completed (deadline for submission was on 8 February), making €800 million of direct funding for RFNBO hydrogen projects available. Both programmes are key instruments to combine climate imperatives with economic opportunities – a top priority of the European Commission.
EU Chips Act
Our Senior Consultant, Filippo Maria Contenti will join the Chips for Europe event in Brussels from 30 – 1 December. This is the official launch of the new Chips Joint Undertaking initiative and the European Chips Act - the new initiative from the EU with up to €11bn of public funding for European companies and researchers in the entire semiconductor and electronic components value chains. It will enhance the EU and fortify our technological and manufacturing capacity in the state-of-the-art semiconductors and chips industry.
